is it to find her own path and independence ? or is it … ?love & deepspace: non-mc the biggest change from madeleine's overall lore is she does not get kidnapped as a teenager by ever, never getting the aethercore transplanted into her heart. madeleine overall stays the same - her original evol dissection as her primary focus. madeleine isn't as active / athletically strong - she's more of a homebody who'd prefer reading - anything to dig more into her research.instead of wanting to become a hunter to investigate the perpetrators behind her kidnapping, madeleine focuses her purpose on her interest of wanderers - along with trying to increase the capacity of her evol. she wants to use her evol to dissect directly into wanderers and study them inside out. she pursued post-secondary education in biology - and would be currently trying to write a thesis on wanderers.unfortunately for madeleine, wanderers seem to dissipate as soon as they are defeated, leaving only their protocores. while she's not fully against the study of protocores (which tends to be most of her work), she wants to study the wanderers themselves. madeleine would still be employed at the association in the lower depths of the research department. maybe there'd be more opportunities for madeleine to get out on the field and use her evol on a wanderer near defeat - dissect them in place - ?! the permission for such request remains pending ...her dissection evol can only be triggered for an hour and can also only be activated twice daily. any overuse of her evol (surpassing the time frame, activating more than twice) will result in increased pressure in her brain and will cause nosebleeds and further internal bleeding. it's recommended she not use it at all, but she's gotten better at timing herself diligently to avoid any potential dangers.regency the eldest daughter to one of the most prominent retired knights - sir iruma was given a title after returning from war. baron iruma retires peacefully to the countryside - inheriting not only a new name but a fair share of land for his contributions to empire's victory. he's settled down and even started his own family - hoping to enjoy and live the peaceful life he's fought so hard to protect. instead, madeleine wonders why their family lives so desolately. the peace to her, is too mundane as she's already gone through their family library too many times to count. baron iruma although cherishes his daughter worries for her naivety and the viciousness of high society if his daughter were to ever properly make her debut. she's more intelligent than the common noble daughter and wishes for more than society expects of a woman. madeleine, never one to have abided by such norms, fiercely strives forward to make a name for herself.touchstarved it's been years since madeleine had lost contact with her father - a knight charged with a duty that should not have taken that long to accomplish. fearing for the worst, madeleine decides to leave the quaint town their family has secluded themselves in to try and find clues and traces of her father. she's a trained exorcist since her teens - but hasn't had many opportunities to put her skills into practice. how much will she need to put her skills into work?college pursuing a bachelors in forensic science - madeleine's schedule is always full, from running between classes - to the lab - to fieldwork practicum, she also manages to find time to work at her uncle's cafe to help pay for rent. over her head with stress, madeleine is fighting for her life trying to get this education. she might show up to her cafe shift a little out of it - but don't let her uncle catch you trying to make a move on her !

love & deepspace dj does not have many changes from his regular self in this verse. does not have an EVOL nor has any experience in combat. not affiliated with the hunters association aside from the fact it's where both his father and his sister are employed. dj mainly supplements as being a wingman (maybe. not really) and menace (yes. moreso) to madeleine - often showing up at her apartment unannounced, staying there when she's out of town for work trips. out of that, he's an average citizen, still going to school for music.regency even if he is the second child - he is the first son. there is a societal expectation that he is to follow in his father's footsteps as an renowned knight, or to inherit their house. he doesn't quite understand why such responsibilities fall upon him when his eldest sister is more than capable and adept instead. he's been sent off to a far away boarding school in the mean time - spending most of his time fooling around and definitely not doing great at his studies.
